Tremendous triumph for Tornados Allstars

The Tornados Allstars from Ilfracombe are reflecting on an incredible season that seen the cheerleading squad make a huge jump in average competition scores.

Head coach and founder of the Allstars, Emma Shorney, is feeling understandably proud of her squad, the longest running cheerleading outfit in the area.

“We have just come out of our latest competition season with scores that have amazed us all,” said Emma. “We have gone from scoring in the 60/70s to hitting scores as high as 86.02! The hard work every athlete has put into this season has paid off with these scores.

“We have had some amazing help throughout the season with donations from organisations like the Ilfracombe rotary club, which enabled us to get much needed new equipment, and Ilfracombe round table, who helped us purchase new uniforms, giving our athletes an amazing boost of confidence.

“I really want the squad to know how proud I am of them, and how much they have shown everyone they have what it takes to compete with the higher-level squads out there.

“We are currently recruiting for new members. All ages as we have an adult team who are smashing the scores as well.”
