North Devon boxers shine in Port Talbot
Bideford ABC had a successful night in Port Talbot with four boxers representing the club. Tremayne Reeves was top of the bill in an exhibition against heavyweight Vlad Avunov. Reeves stayed composed, boxing and moving to dominate all three rounds.
Rhyder Willoughby started the night with his competitive debut against Seth Charles. Willoughby demonstrated good footwork and hand speed, picking Charles off for the first two rounds. In the last he went through the gears, trapping Charles in the corner and forcing the third round TKO.
Tucker Mills is building a name for being in crowd pleasing fights, and his battle with Lewis Rees was no different. The pair met in the middle of the ring slugging it out. In the second round, an overhand right from Mills forced a standing count. Mills kept up the relentless pressure in the last to earn the unanimous points win.
Ebony Webber took on Welsh national finalist Jess Hulse. Webber took the first round with hard straight punches but as the fight progressed, Hulse’s experience came into it to deservedly get the win after a spirited effort from the Bideford boxer.
