Christmas has arrived for North Devon Sport and we are taking the chance to enjoy some of the fantastic football that has already taken place in the 2022/ 23 season.
Bideford have games in hand to climb away from danger in the Southern League, while Barnstaple Town and Ilfracombe Town have both been steady in the Western League.
Holsworthy have struggled for consistency in the South-West Peninsula League but have shown enough to suggest they can avoid trouble in 2023, while Torrington and Torridgeside sit comfortably in mid-table.
North Molton have a 100% record in the Devon Football League but will have to maintain that electric form to catch leaders Beer Albion. The unstoppable duo are scheduled to play each other on February 4.
The North Devon Football League has already served up some enthralling encounters over the first half of the 2022/23 campaign and the stars are aligning for an incredible climax to the season.
Boca Seniors have a 100% record in the Premier Division but they are being chased hard by both Park United and Shamwickshire Rovers.
Bradworthy have a huge task to pull away from the bottom and will be targeting Combe Martin and Hartland Clovelly in the places above them if they are to pull off a great escape.
The Senior Division is incredibly tight at the top. Holsworthy 2nds lead on 23 points but Landkey Town are only a point behind and have a game in hand. Appledore 2nds are the big threat though, sitting on 21 points and with a 100% record. Sandymere Blues, Hartland Clovelly 2nds and Shebbear United face a relegation scrap.
AFC Dumnonii are the dominant force in Intermediate One, with Lynton their main rivals in second, but it is very close in Intermediate Two, where High Bickington are ahead of Morwenstow 2nds on goal difference.
Game on for 2023.
