With some clubs involved in cup competitions, Braunton 2nds took the chance to close the gap on the top three in the North Devon League Premier Division.
Welcoming bottom club Bradworthy to Lobb Field, Braunton dominated the early stages, with Lewis Lowe cannoning a shot against the bar. Numerous chances came and went before Jamie Pratt finally find the net with an effort rifled into the bottom corner.
Bradworthy stayed in the game until after the break but a second goal was decisive, John Morgan slotting home from close range. Cameron Shaw finally got the goal his performance deserved to round off a 3-0 victory.
Doubles from Ryan Elston and George Turner, plus a Frazer Reeves strike, gave Chittlehampton a comfortable 5-1 success at home to Combe Martin. Jordon Wheeler netted a consolation for the visitors.
Eastside climbed to fifth in the table with an efficient 3-0 win over North Molton 2nds. Josh Reynolds, Bailey Robertson and James Taylor scored the goals. Joe Wretham and Anthony Hughes were the duo on target for Appledore Lions in a 2-0 win at Hartland Clovelly.
Holsworthy 2nds remain a point ahead of Landkey Town in the Senior Division after both recorded strong wins on the road on Saturday. Will Harris and Todd Peschke gave the Magpies a 2-0 half-time lead at Shebbear United. Brendan Hearn scored a third for Holsworthy, while Shebbear, who were reduced to ten men, grabbed a consolation from Curtis Johnson.
Callum Ackland, Euan Kent, Luke Parsley and an own goal secured a 4-1 win for Landkey at Ilfracombe Town 2nds, with Adrian Ashton on target for the hosts. Woolsery fought back from being a goal down at half-time to win 4-2 at Sandymere Blues. Mischa Howe, Angelo Massos, Josh Wood and Tom Butler scored for the visitors, while Ben Ford and Ash Stone-Uglow notched for the Blues.
The final Senior Division game was a cracking 3-3 draw between Braunton 3rds and Torridgeside 2nds. Dylon Willis (2) and Will Martin hit the net for Braunton, while the T-Side scorers were James Taylor, Ollie Taylor and an own goal.
