TORRIDGESIDE swimmers produced a number of fine performances at the Devon ASA Junior Sprint Gala at the Central Pool in Plymouth, including two wins for Joseph Fenney in the 11yr old boys' 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle.Louis Woodward won the 10yr old boys' 50m backstroke. Other podium successes were: Daniel Mansford, 2nd in the 9 yrs boys 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke and 3rd in the 50m freestyle; Rachel Coles 3rd 9yrs girls 50m freestyle; Emily Risdon 3rd 10yrs girls 50m breaststroke; Hannah Talmage 2nd 12yrs girls 50m freestyle, 3rd 50m butterfly; Kieran Jewell 2nd 13yrs boys 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke and 3rd 50m freestyle; Karina Spry 2nd 12yrs girls 50m backstroke; Jack Wheeler 3rd 14yrs old boys 50m backstroke; Daniella Jewell 3rd 12yrs old girls 50m breaststroke. A total of 41 personal best times were recorded by club swimmers.
