CREDITON Hornets won a good battle with Bideford Nomads 24-13.The Nomads went 3-0 up with a Peter McMillan penalty, but a brace of tries from Crediton took them into a 14-3 half-time lead. Crediton added to this soon after the restart, but a good try from wing Tim Roberts from a deft kick through from Jason Turner gave Bideford a glimmer of hope.An exchange of tries, Turner scoring for the home side, kept it interesting. But Crediton's defence held firm. Bideford's Man of the Match Stuart Arnett-Clark tackled himself to a standstill and fellow back Jake Brown also showed up well.
