National finalsTHE senior netball teams at Edgehill College have qualified for the Independent Schools' Association National Finals for the fourth year in a row after a clean sweep in the regional finals.The under 14 and 16 teams both performed at their best. The U14s produced good victories throughout the day, although had a tough match against Trinity School before a decisive second-half saw them 16-7 victors.The U16s mustered an effective defence, letting in just 13 goals throughout the tourn-ament and enjoying comfortable wins, the closest being Trinity again, with a 10-7 scoreline.U16 team member Charly Kennedy has represented West Devon in a regional U16 fixture against Jersey, although the Channel island opposition ultimately proved too strong for the newly formed squad.North Devon schoolsLOSS of many first team members did not deter North Devon Schools U16s who travelled to Newquay. The A team beat St Austell 11-9 and drew with ECS Predators, while the B team suffered two narrow losses 15-16 to St Austell and 5-6 to ECS.
