The A399 is currently closed between Blackmoor Gate near Combe Martin and the turn off to Challacombe.
One of the main tourist routes into North Devon is closed this afternoon (Friday, April 10) after a crash involving two vehicles.
Police said they were called at around 3.30pm following a collision between the two vehicles on the A399 near Challacombe.
The road is currently closed between Blackmoor Gate and the Challacombe turning, the B3358.
The ambulance service is in attendance but police said at this stage nobody is believed to have suffered any life-threatening injuries.
Traffic watch site Inrix reports queuing traffic both ways as the incident is ongoing.
