BREAKING: Heavy traffic as Lynmouth coastal road closed due to accident

Holiday traffic is reported to be stationary on the A39 scenic coastal route between Lynmouth and Minehead this afternoon (Saturday, August 23).

The traffic watch site Inrix reports Countisbury Hill on the A39 is blocked both ways between the Brendon turn off and Lynmouth.

The closure was reported around 2.15pm and motorists are advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route.

There are no further details at this time.
