A cyclist has been left with serious head injuries after a collision at Highampton near Hatherleigh on Saturday (August 9).
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who might have dashcam footage of the incident, which happened at around 11.30am on an unclassified road between Highampton and Hatherleigh.
As a result of the collision, the rider was left serious head injuries and was taken to hospital. He remains in hospital for treatment.
Investigating officers are looking for witnesses who saw the collision and may have witnessed if a second vehicle was involved.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
