The British Naturalists’ Association (BNA) took part in the Bideford Water Festival on 20 July, despite afternoon rain.
At their marquee, the group displayed information about local wildlife and natural history. Visitors spoke with members to learn more about the area’s natural environment.
The association said young naturalists now make up 10 per cent of its national membership. They added that young people can join to earn badges, take part in projects, and attend supervised field trips.
