Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has reduced the asking price of The Stags Head Inn at Filleigh near Barnstaple.

Set within the Fortescue estate, the inn sits on a plot of 1.5 acres, with a private car park and a large beer garden with waterside seating overlooking a lake.

The agent is now asking for offers of over £500,000 for the impressive Grade II listed property with a main bar, a restaurant and four letting bedrooms, plus a modern three-bedroom owners’ apartment.

The Inn is on the market due to retirement and offers a new owner the potential to expand the bed and breakfast side of the business.

Ryan Bassett at Christie & Co is managing the sale and said: “At the reduced asking price, The Stags Head Inn represents a fantastic opportunity for a new owner to take a business with a strong reputation and level of trade and really maximise its full potential.”

The Stags Head Inn is on the market at a reduced asking price of offers over £500,000.
