A new show home is opening at the Elan Homes development on land at The Shields, Ilfracombe, on Saturday, June 22.

Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball explained: “We’re making steady progress at Seascape, where we’re building 40 private sale homes in a choice of two, three and four-bedroom styles.

“The original show home opened last year and has now been sold. The good news for buyers is that we’ve recently completed construction of a three-bedroom Buckland style property. It’s being professionally styled by interior designers to help demonstrate the quality and finish purchasers can expect when they buy a new Elan home.”

The Buckland offers 898 sq ft of carefully considered living space, with a garage at lower ground level.

At the front is an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room, with a balcony to help make the most of the coastal views.

The main bedroom is at the rear, with French doors opening out onto the garden. It boasts an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the other two bedrooms.

For those who perhaps don’t need three bedrooms, the third could be used as a study for home working.

Current availability at Seascape includes a choice of two and three-bedroom homes. Prices start from £259,995 for a two-bedroom Georgeham style property.

Future phases will include larger three and four-bedroom homes, including those set out over three floors to make the most of the views of the surrounding coast.

“The location and potential for stunning views are just part of the appeal of our new homes in Ilfracombe,” Tracey added.

“People also love that rather than inheriting a previous owner’s choices and potentially having to replace the kitchen and bathroom, they can make their own design decisions, subject to build stage, and we’ll fit their preferred kitchen and bathroom ready for them to move in. Another key factor is that our new homes are energy efficient. Research by the Home Builders Federation* suggests that those who move from an older house to a new one, could save almost £2,200 a year on their energy bills.”

Elan’s new homes in Ilfracombe are being built within an established residential area, with nearby amenities including schools and a supermarket. The high street is less than half a mile away and is home to a range of independent retailers.

The new show home at Seascape opens on Saturday, June 22.
