The National Trust at Arlington Court is excited to celebrate The Big Help Out and National Volunteers Week with a day of volunteering sessions on Thursday, June 6.

This event provides a unique opportunity to explore the wide range of volunteer activities available.

Whether you’re interested in assisting within the Regency house, getting a behind-the-scenes look with the gardening team, participating in wildlife surveys, or unleashing your creativity with the events team through arts and crafts, there's something for everyone to get involved with.

Sophie McCormack, Volunteering & Community Manager, shares her enthusiasm: “We are really fortunate at Arlington Court to have so many passionate and skilled volunteers. Hosting this drop-in day for The Big Help Out is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate them while inviting more of our local community to get involved in the many ways we care for this amazing place."

Sophie continued: “If you’re interested in what goes on behind the scenes at Arlington, or curious about how volunteering could help you learn new skills, meet new people, and improve your health and wellbeing, please pop in for a chat.”

Volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining Arlington Court and the National Carriage Museum, ensuring conservation efforts succeed for future generations. The Big Help Out aims to raise awareness about volunteering and offers people the chance to experience the joy of getting involved with their local community.

Anyone interested in joining a session can book their place through The Big Help Out website or app. To find out more please visit: The Big Help Out | Home
