Detectives investigating the circumstances that led to a man’s death in Ilfracombe on Tuesday are appealing for anyone with information on his whereabouts before his death to come forward.
Police were called by the ambulance service after a man was found unresponsive at around 4.15pm, on Granville Road, Ilfracombe, on Tuesday (November 28).
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Detective Sergeant Claire Dando said: “We have established that the deceased is a local man in his 50s and are not treating his death as suspicious, but it was unexpected.
“As part of our enquiries to prepare a file for the coroner, we are looking to establish his movements immediately prior to his death.
“At the time, he was wearing grey shorts, a khaki green zip-up jacket and a black snood around his neck.
“He was a white male of medium build, who was clean shaven with short brown hair.
“If anyone has any information about his last movements or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact police via our website here or by calling 101 quoting reference number 50230312192.”
