Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a potential witness who may have information which could assist an ongoing investigation.
Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured who was in the Westward Ho! Area on the evening of Tuesday, August 15.
Officers are investigating reports of an assault in Westward Ho! which was reported at around 1am on Wednesday, August 16.
The passer-by in the image is a possible witness and is in no way suspected of any offences.
A 25-year-old man from Barnstaple has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
