Lauren Lepley founder of Aleafia Wellness Centre
Barnstaple's Aleafia, the UK’s first and only certified and sustainable plastic free, plant-based wellness centre, is celebrating its three-year anniversary.
This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone for the business as it reflects on three years of dedication to improving the lives of countless individuals through its comprehensive wellness offerings, especially opening during covid and navigating government restrictions to support the community.
Since its inception in August, 2020, Aleafia, which means ‘to be in the state or condition of good physical and mental health’, has been committed to creating a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of its clients. Inside the centre, is ‘The Plant Bar’, Barnstaple’s only fully plant-based cafe, a gym, fitness studio and treatment rooms. The business has established itself as a beacon of hope for those seeking a holistic approach to wellness, incorporating mental, emotional, and physical well-being under one roof.
"At Aleafia, our mission has always been to empower individuals to take control of their health and embrace a harmonious lifestyle," said founder Lauren Lepley, whose passion for wellbeing and health led her to develop and open Aleafia. "We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our clients and the local and wider community, which has allowed us to thrive and make a positive difference in the lives of so many."
Over the past three years, Aleafia has become a reliable and trusted wellness source for the local community, providing a wide range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of its diverse clientele.
From membership packages that include personal training, nutritional guidance and planning and even positive psychology sessions, as well as regular seminars, workshops and massage therapy.
Aleafia has strived to foster a nurturing environment that enables personal growth, learning, and mental and physical transformation that is both accessible and affordable.
“Three years ago, Aleafia as a wellness centre was just a dream to me, to be celebrating our third business birthday is a pinch me moment. As well as building an incredible team, who we owe so much of our success to, we’ve been there for people in all different phases of life, have clients who have become friends and love being a welcoming hub for our local community here in Devon. Community is at the heart of what we do and I can’t wait for the next three years, we have some really exciting plans!” Lauren explains.
Multi-award winner Lauren has built a long-standing career in the wellness industry and is a keen and passionate advocate for businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals to prioritise their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Living with cancer, Lauren puts her survival down in part to her well being focused lifestyle, and through Aleafia, and her high performance coaching and business consultancy, is on a mission to help other people to become the healthiest versions of themselves so that their lives and careers or business can thrive.
Lauren champions a 360, inside-outside approach to wellness and health that includes nourishing the physical self through diet and exercise, prioritising mental wellbeing, and both inner and physical strength, and Aleafia is a complete embodiment of this.
In honour of their three-year anniversary, Aleafia has launched its Aleafia Accelerator programme, designed to empower, educate and help people embrace a successful health journey, with support and accountability from the team.
There will be an introductory offer for anyone wanting to trial Aleafia, Lauren will be offering three sessions for £14.00. Usually they are £12 each.
Lauren will also be launching an online programme in September, offering digital wellness and fitness classes. This will be aimed at making Aleafia more accessible to those who can’t travel, or for those based outside of Devon, and the UK.
