After the consolidation of Creative Industries and Construction at Petroc’s Main Campus in Barnstaple the college has now put its Brannams building in Roundswell on the market.
As of September 2023, all Creative Industries programmes, including music, performing arts, creative media and art, as well as the construction provision, will be relocated to the Barnstaple Campus on Sticklepath Hill.
By consolidating these courses to one central location Petroc says, 'learners will now benefit from easier access to a range of facilities that enrich their educational experience'.
The remodelled learning spaces have been 'specifically designed to accommodate the Creative Industries and Construction teams'.
Bill Blythe (Vice Principal, Finance, Resources & Regional Affairs) said "As a result of this relocation the Brannams building will be surplus to our needs and, by reducing the space occupied by the college, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint, reinvest savings in our other facilities and create an opportunity for others to invest in space in Roundswell.
"This is another good opportunity for the College to ensure it is operating as efficiently as it can in terms of the College Estate. We have created some exciting learning spaces on our Sticklepath Hill Campus and will continue to seek to develop facilities that allow our students to learn their craft and showcase their talents."
