The Trust would be pleased to receive applications from:
In the 2023 awards there are five awards of £500 to be spent on efforts to improve land for wildlife. There are also batches of 100 primrose plug plants for planting in suitable locations.
For each award, as well as funding, each successful applicant will be assigned the dedicated support of one of the trustees of the Tarka Country Trust to provide expert advice and support.
The Tarka Country Trust are keen to support community groups to tackle the biodiversity crisis.
Richard Prowse, chair of the Trust, said: “Wildlife populations have plunged in the recent past and the Tarka Country Trust are keen to help start to reverse this trend. Biodiversity is essential to life on the planet, and everyone can do their bit to help. We are looking for community groups who just need a little funding, help and advice to create areas that are attractive to a wide range of wildlife.”
The deadline for these applications is 31/08/2023. To find out more and to apply for an award go to the Tarka Country Trust website at www.tarkacountrytrust.org.uk and complete the application form.
The awards have been running for the last three year and previously some excellent projects have been carried out including new ponds, tree planting, birdboxes and primrose planting.
