AN affordable home with a difference has sprung up in Chope’s Close, Bideford - thanks the icy weather and the efforts of young Jack Prouse.
A snowman was too commonplace for Jack’s building efforts, so he decided an igloo would be appropriate for the Arctic conditions.
Four hours of work went in to creating ice blocks in a green recycling box and shaping them into a garden igloo of which an Eskimo would be proud.
Jack was given a helping hand by his builder dad Dave, especially in working out how to do the more complicated curves.
The result is a solid structure that seems destined to stay for some time in the present temperatures, providing a fun playhouse for children.
