ILFRACOMBE Rotarians have been helping the Ariel Studios at Mullacott to make music.Rotary Club members recently visited the centre to learn how their donation of 470 recording software to the Channel Arts Association charity will be of benefit to the whole community.Everyone who uses the studio will benefit, as the software makes the quality of recordings more professional - and the centre hosts a range of music workshops run by the charity, designed for beginners, people with learning difficulties, children and experienced musicians. The Ariel Studios is a state-of-the art facility for solo artists, choirs and small or large bands to rehearse, record and hire equipment at low cost. It is also available as a training resource for those who wish to further their knowledge and gain hands on experience."Anyone can use the Ariel," said studio manager Leigh Crossman."We currently have lots of local bands and musicians as well as adults with learning difficulties, excluded young people and North Devon College students. "This is a huge step forward in our pursuit to constantly raise the quality of our recording studio."To find out more about the Ariel, visit www.ariel.org.uk or contact Leigh Crossman on (01271) 862701.
