SIR - Over the Christmas period Appledore Band played carols at various locations in North Devon. The generosity of local people has enabled the band to donate �300 to each of the following charities: Shelterbox, Dr Buckland's foundation for Children, North Devon Cancer Care, and RNLI Appledore. We are grateful for the hospitality provided by Asda, Tesco, Homebase, Sainsbury's and Morrisons for allowing us to play at their premises. Appledore Band is a happy friendly group who provide a lively interesting programme of music to suit most occasions. brass musicians are always welcome to join us at our rehearsals on Monday and Wednesday evenings at St Mary's Church hall, Appledore, or visit our website www.appledoreband.org.ukJohn Croker, Musical Director.
