Petrolhead, supermodel and all-around car super fan Jodie Kidd will be joining vehicle enthusiasts of all ages at the Lyn Valley Classic this Sunday (June 8).
The hugely popular charity event at Lynton and Lynmouth will once again see the twin villages celebrate vehicles of all kinds, from supercars to classics and tractors to motorcycles.
Jodie Kidd made her debut at the event last year after being invited by close friend and well-known fashion designer Alice Temperley MBE and said she had such a brilliant day she instantly promised to return this year, as did Alice.

Now in its 11th year, the Lyn Valley Classic sees Lynton become the home of the supercar for the day, with around 100 lining the village streets, from Ferraris to McLarens and Porsches to Lamborghinis.
Meanwhile Lynmouth’s Manor Green will be filled with vehicles, including classic and vintage cars and motorcycles plus tractors and historic working vehicles.

As well as Jodie and Alice, more local celebrities at the event will in lude Derek Hernaman, who raised £12,000 for charity after completing a 4,000 trip around the British coast in his trusty 69-year-old Land Rover, towing a 79-year-old caravan.
Also at the show will be local ‘topless runner’ and cancer survivor Louise Butcher who has raised thousands for charity and become an ambassador for breast cancer awareness.
The Lyn Valley Classic itself raised £20,000 for charity last year, with Devon Air Ambulance, Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance, North Devon Hospice and the RNLI among the main recipients, as well as smaller local charities and good causes.
Gates open at 10am on the day and as well as plenty of cars and vehicles to browse, there will be trade stands and food stalls plus entertainment including line dancing on the Manor Green.

Parking in the villages will be all but impossible and visitors are urged to use the park and ride service provided. With last year’s park and ride full by lunchtime, this year a field provided by Woolhanger Manor, opposite Woody Bay Station, will take on the duties instead. As well as buses running to the event, there will also be shuttle buses operating between Lynton and Lynmouth.
Jodie Kidd is a household name - especially among petrolheads - and has appeared on classic Top Gear and many television shows including Strictly and Celebrity MasterChef. She is also the host of popular YouTube show Kidd in a Sweet Shop, where she test drives celebrities’ cars.
Lyn Valley Classic organiser James Tucker said Jodie had not hesitated to promise she’d come back for 2025. He said: “She was really generous with her time last year, we had no fixed agenda, she mooched around, was great with Louise the topless runner, she was just so kind with everyone she came across.
“At the end I said ‘I hope you have had a good day and thank you for coming’ and she said, ‘I had such a fabulous day and will be back next year with a car’.”
He thanked event sponsors Tors Park for making it possible for Jodie and Alice to attend again this year, as well as the other main sponsors Tuckers Legal and Financial Services, Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, Esplanade Fish Bar, Barbrook Services and Vertu BMW.
James, who is among the founders of the event, is looking forward to Sunday and the many vehicles on show.
He added: “There will be at least 25 Ferraris this year, with 100 supercars in total for Lynton and 300 classics for Lynmouth. Carrs Ferrari from Exeter who have always been very supportive of the event will be bringing up to 15 cars. Others visiting include the McLaren Owners’ Club plus Porsche and Lamborghinis.
“We have some really lovely old classics and the tractor tour will be coming in again, plus a collection of high performance tuned cars.
“We try to cater for all enthusiasts – someone’s Morris Minor is as important to them as my Ferrari is to me.
“There is no competition on the day, it’s about vehicle ownership.”
