Police are investigating a report of an early hours arson attack at Woolacombe Bay Hotel yesterday (Wednesday, May 14) and have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to.

Officers said a fire was discovered at the hotel and is believed to have been started between 4am and 4.40am.

The CCTV image shows a man wearing a hoodie or hooded coat and wearing a face covering. Officers investigating the incident would like to identify the man pictured as they believe he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Devon and Cornwall said they were aware the image quality was low but it was hoped someone might still be able to recognise him.

If you can help identify this man, call police on 101, or get in touch via the Devon and Cornwall Police website, quoting reference number 50250120405.
