Ladies taking part in the iconic Nightwalk event for North Devon Hospice this May can expect a jam-packed evening full of fun, celebrations and memory-making as they walk together under the stars.

Taking place on Saturday, May 17, Nightwalk will see more than 1,000 women take to the Tarka Trail and walk either three or 10 miles together from Bideford to Instow or Barnstaple to raise vital funds for patients and families impacted by a life-limiting illness.

As the sun sets, Nightwalkers will enjoy music, lights and tonnes of entertainment along the route, as well as the beautiful Memory Bridge at Fremington Quay, which is making a comeback this year.

Several brand-new additions are set to make Nightwalk 2025 the best yet, as explained by Georgia Bedgood, Events Manager at North Devon Hospice.

She said: “Nightwalk is one of our biggest and most loved fundraising events, so it’s important for us to make it as memorable as possible for the brilliant ladies taking part.

“As such, we’re starting this year’s event off in style with our brand-new Event Village to create that electric start-line atmosphere and get our lovely walkers pumped for the evening ahead! Think live music, photo booth, glitter station and plenty more – a chance to be all together as we start this epic march!”

After the Event Village, the carnival atmosphere will be continued along the Tarka Trail with a whole host of new and exciting entertainment including ‘Rainbow Walk’, daredevil fire entertainers, a groovy silent disco and a spectacular carnival tunnel experience that’s sure to make this a night to remember.

Participants will also be treated to refreshments throughout the evening before being welcomed across their chosen finish line by lively cheer squads of hospice staff and volunteers.

Georgia added: “We want every single person taking part in Nightwalk this year to have the best time and feel part of something special knowing what a difference they’ve made to local people facing their toughest times.

“If you’re yet to sign up, don’t wait as time is ticking! Register before Friday, May 9 to secure your place at Nightwalk and be in with a chance of winning four weekend tickets to this year’s GoldCoast Oceanfest – another of North Devon’s most popular events!”
