Rhododendron fans will flock to RHS Garden Rosemoor this April for the first of three big plant events at the popular Torrington attraction.

The National Rhododendron Show will see exhibitors from across the South West to display their blooms and share their knowledge on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27.

This show has more than 60 classes covering all types of rhododendrons, trade and advice stands plus magnificent displays of magnolias and camellias.

Then on the May bank holiday weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4, a bonsai bonanza comes to RHS Rosemoor with the Bonsai Show South West, featuring a variety of the tiny trees nurtured and styled by the South West members of the Federation of British Bonsai Societies (FoBBS).

There will also be a stand of suiseki (viewing stones), which express the Japanese art of stone appreciation which values aspects like stability, longevity and immortality.

It is an opportunity for visitors to seek advice from knowledgeable experts and browse trees, accessories and tools to help start the hobby or to extend their collection.

Both above shows are supported by Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management.

Finally, discover a wide variety of rare and unusual trees, shrubs and perennials at the Plant Heritage Spring Fair on Sunday, May 11.

Featuring local nurseries, many of whom are not generally open to the public, gardeners can find special plants for sale under the Plant Heritage banner.

This popular fair has grown in size and interest since it was first held at Rosemoor more than two decades ago and is a must for all keen gardeners and plant collectors.
