Taw Bridge in Barnstaple has been closed this evening (Thursday 10 April) following a police incident, according to Devon Alert.
The travel service posted on X: “Taw Bridge, Barnstaple is closed due to a Police incident. Please find an alternative route.”
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
The North Devon Gazette has contacted Devon and Cornwall Police for more information and is awaiting a response.
