Paul Scovell, development manager at NDH said: “We are delighted to hand over these new, modern homes to the new residents which will make a real difference in the lives of these local families.”

The development was designed and built by Barnstaple-based Chichester Developments and NDH says it demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability with modern building standards, helping to reduce the carbon footprint.

Paul added: “Each house is equipped with air source heat pumps for heating and hot water and, in a first for North Devon Homes, each property includes EV charging points helping to support a greener future.

“This project has been successfully delivered through a partnership with Chichester Developments who have an excellent reputation. We look forward to continuing this long-standing collaboration as we work with them to complete our final phase of this development.”

Louise Sharman, director at Chichester Developments, said: “Working on this project has been a fantastic experience. It’s been a pleasure collaborating with North Devon Homes once again to deliver homes that are not only high quality and well-designed but also sustainable and future-proof.

“Each property has been thoughtfully designed ensuring comfortable and high-quality living spaces. We’re excited to continue this successful partnership in the future.”

The development at Buckleigh Road will consist of 117 houses in a range of two, three, four and five bedroom properties.

With the next phase due in December 2025 and final handover of units in December 2026, a further six social rent properties will be delivered, bringing the total to 12 new affordable homes for local residents.
