Students and staff at Beaford Primary celebrating their Outstanding Ofsted inspection results
Beaford Community Primary & Nursery School has received high praise following its Ofsted inspection in January 2025.
The school was awarded Outstanding grades for both Early Years and Personal Development.
The Ofsted report highlighted Beaford’s nurturing environment, its high expectations for all pupils, and the variety of enriching opportunities provided to students.
The inspection also noted that families and pupils expressed a strong sense of belonging to the school.
Ian Thomas, CEO of TEAM Multi-Academy Trust, said: “This is a fantastic result for Beaford, and I’m incredibly proud of the whole school community. The Outstanding grades in Early Years and Personal Development reflect the dedication, passion and commitment of the staff and leadership team, ensuring every child thrives.”
George Myers, Head of School, added: “We’re thrilled with the result, which reflects the dedication of our whole school community – staff, pupils, parents and governors alike. Our focus on nurturing every child and providing exceptional opportunities has been at the heart of this journey.”
Beaford’s achievement is also supported by its membership in TEAM Multi-Academy Trust, a network of local schools working together to share expertise and deliver high-quality education across North Devon.
The school has benefitted from collaborative working across the trust, allowing staff to draw on the knowledge and support of the wider TEAM community.
