Police appeal for information after jewellery shop burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a jewellery shop on Boutport Street, Barnstaple.

The break-in occurred at around 7.45 pm on Wednesday, 5 March, with gold jewellery worth several thousand pounds stolen.

It is believed a lone male suspect was responsible and was seen fleeing the area, but has yet to be located.

Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward and are also warning local businesses to be cautious, as the stolen items may be sold in the coming days.
