The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon is calling on local groups and organisations to share their stories as part of its 2026 Community Gallery exhibition programme.
Following the success of last year’s initiative, the Museum is once again inviting people to submit ideas for exhibitions that celebrate North Devon’s history, culture, and community.
Previous exhibitions in the Community Gallery have included a centenary tribute to Banbury’s Department Store and a project by Katy Lee that documented an 18-month journey along the River Taw through storytelling and poetry.
The current display marks 25 years of North Devon Homes.
Museum Manager Alison Mills said: “We believe that all North Devon communities have a story worth telling, and we want to help bring those stories to life. Whether it’s a milestone anniversary, an interesting project, or an untold piece of history, we invite local groups and organisations to share with us. This is a chance to celebrate our shared heritage, uncover hidden gems, and ensure that our Museum reflects the voices and experiences of the people who make the North Devon community unique.”
Local groups and organisations interested in taking part can visit the Museum’s website for details and an application form.
Those selected will receive support throughout the process, from planning to promotion.
The deadline for submissions is Monday 31 March.
