An award-winning restaurant in Lynmouth has announced that former MasterChef: The Professionals contestant Anton Piotrowski will be returning to his home county of Devon to take up the role of Head Chef.
Mr Piotrowski, who won the 2012 series of MasterChef: The Professionals as the competition’s first-ever joint champion, said he “can’t wait to join the team” at The Rising Sun.

Following his MasterChef success, his career flourished as he earned a Michelin star at The Treby Arms in Sparkwell, South Devon.
During his tenure, the pub was also recognised in the Estrella Top 50 UK Gastropubs list. He later received numerous accolades before opening his own restaurant in Liverpool - Roski.
Speaking about his new role, Anton said: “I’ve always loved this quirky 14th century inn. I’m looking forward to working with the amazing suppliers in the area to source the finest ingredients from the sea and Exmoor and really put the Rising Sun on the map.”
Matt Clark, owner of The Rising Sun, added: “We’ve always had an excellent reputation for food at the Rising Sun but Anton’s exceptional, imaginative cooking will elevate our food offering beyond anything we’ve seen before. I think our customers will love Anton’s gastronomic twist on pub classics”
