A hospice walk to raise funds for North Devon Hospice has announced its sponsor for 2025, with holidaycottages.co.uk set to play a key role.

The popular event, Nightwalk, will return on Saturday, 17 May 2025, and will see hundreds of women walking under the stars along the Tarka Trail in support of local hospice care.

The event, a highlight in North Devon's charity calendar, draws a dedicated group of participants, including a team from holidaycottages.co.uk.

This year, the company is proud to sponsor Nightwalk once again, and a group of women from the company will join over 1,000 others as they walk either three or 10 miles from Bideford to Barnstaple, raising vital funds for the hospice.

Serena Pearce, Regional Communities Manager at holidaycottages.co.uk, expressed her team’s excitement to be involved in the 2025 event.

She said: “holidaycottages.co.uk is proud to sponsor North Devon Hospice’s Nightwalk, a truly inspiring event that brings our community together to support such a vital charity,” said Serena. “We deeply value the incredible work the hospice does to provide compassionate care to those affected by life-limiting illnesses.”

Every pound raised from Nightwalk will go directly towards helping local patients and families facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, ensuring they receive compassionate care and support.

North Devon Hospice’s Head of Fundraising, Lizzie Hanks, expressed deep gratitude to sponsors like holidaycottages.co.uk and all the participants.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who makes Nightwalk possible, including all of our brilliant sponsors. Whether you’re walking in memory of someone who was cared for by the

hospice or are wanting to make sure that others in our community receive the vital care and support we all deserve at the end of our lives, your fundraising means the world,” said Lizzie.

“I want to encourage every woman in North Devon to join us for this fabulous celebration and feel empowered to make a difference – we got this, girls! Be part of the fun and register now to make the most of our Early Bird offer – you can also grab your limited edition Nightwalk t-shirt to wear on the evening with pride,” Lizzie said.

There are still places to sign up for the walk.
