Devon and Cornwall Police are seeking the public’s assistance following a spate of burglaries and other suspicious incidents in the Roundswell and Newport areas of Barnstaple during the early hours of 16 January.
At approximately 2.25am, a property on Chichester Road, Barnstaple, was accessed, with two nappy bags stolen and later found emptied in a nearby alleyway.
Shortly after, around 2.50am, a male was spotted trespassing in a garden in Coppice Gate.
Between 4am and 5am, two to three males were observed on driveways in Cedar Grove and Becklake Close.
Another incident was also reported overnight on Higher Westlake.
Additional reports indicate that hooded men were seen in driveways and rear gardens across the area during this period.
Police believe the suspects may be targeting high-value vehicles, specifically BMWs, Audis, and VWs.
Officers have conducted house-to-house enquiries and are urging residents in Newport and Roundswell to review their CCTV footage for any suspicious activity.
