Although the news operation never rests, and we will continue to update our news websites on a daily basis over the festive period, we won't be producing our regular print titles over the next week, but will be busy planning some exciting developments in 2025.

We will continue to publish our positive news brands in Torbay, North Devon, Dartmoor, and Exeter.

We know from our readers' many letters and comments that they really appreciate the fact that we celebrate our communities across all categories of life and business. We see that as a key part of our existence.

We aim to expand our portfolio of magazines and events across our geography in the months ahead and still see a vital role for local news and commentary.

Whether we are publishing intensely local news on a daily basis, weekly newspapers dealing with key local issues, monthly lifestyle magazines, or quarterly B2B periodicals, our aim is always the same: to celebrate all the great things about life in Devon.

We were particularly delighted last week to celebrate Dave Thomas's achievement as a single-team sportswriter for 56 years at an event in Plaimoor.

We are developing a blend of experience and skill, with Jim Parker, Tim Dixon, Marc Astey, and Harriet Noble being supported by an eager team of young graduates in the two Ella's, Sampson and Woszczyk, and Elizabeth Kings.

Also mentioning our Sports Editor, Tim Herbert who covers a vast range of sport all over Devon.

Commercially too, we are seeking the right blend of traditional experience, with Julie Williams, Paula Miller, and Jason Hockey being supported in 2025 by new recruit Tiegan Way.

We hope you continue to enjoy our publications and wish you all the very best at this festive time and in the year ahead.
