Holiday health adviceDeputy Pharmacy Superintendent George Sandhu shared practical tips to ensure individuals and families are prepared for the busy holiday season:

  1. Order prescriptions early – Festive delays can cause disruptions, so ordering medications in advance is recommended to avoid last-minute stress.
  2. Stock essential medicines – Ensure your medicine cupboard is ready for common holiday health issues. Essentials include paracetamol, indigestion remedies, cold and flu treatments, plasters, and blister plasters.
  3. Travel preparation – Whether travelling locally or abroad, pack regular medications and over-the-counter remedies for unexpected issues.
  4. Alcohol safety – Be aware of potential interactions between alcohol and medications, and consult your pharmacist for guidance.
  5. Flu vaccines – It’s not too late to get a flu jab to protect yourself and your family during the winter months.

For more information, visit the Bideford branch or speak to a pharmacist about any health concerns this holiday season.
