Could you have the home for him?

Diesel waits for his forever home this Christmas

Diesel at Christmas in 2024

Diesel, a four-year-old Alaskan Malamute, is spending his third Christmas at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe.

Since arriving at the rehoming centre in May 2021, he has been waiting patiently for the perfect family to adopt him.

Born on February 16, 2020, Diesel came to the centre when his previous owners could no longer meet his needs due to changes in their family circumstances.

While the team at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe adore him, their greatest wish is to see Diesel settled in a loving, permanent home.

Diesel thrives outdoors, making him an ideal match for rural life.

He enjoys countryside adventures, splashing in water during the summer, and car rides with the window down.

When he’s not exploring, Diesel loves to show off his playful personality and intelligence through training sessions, especially when treats are involved.

The team believes Diesel would do best in a calm household with a secure garden.

While he is cautious around new people, he bonds deeply once trust is established.

Diesel has also lived harmoniously with well-matched dogs but would prefer a home without cats or small pets.

Elise Watson, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe, shared her hopes for Diesel’s future. “Diesel is such a special boy with so much love to give, and all of us are rooting for him to find his happy place this Christmas. We’re hopeful this holiday season will finally bring him the gift of a forever home. The team here at the rehoming centre believe that, with patience, understanding, and a touch of festive magic, this Christmas could be the one that changes his life.”
