The Nativity Trail characters
Children in Barnstaple are invited to join a free Nativity Trail through the town centre on Saturday, 14 December, organised by local churches.
The trail encourages young participants to explore locations including the High Street, Banbury’s, the Pannier Market, and Green Lanes to find characters from the Christmas story.
Starting at 10.30am, children can pick up a sticker "passport" from any character stationed around the town.
They will meet figures such as Mary, Joseph, shepherds, wise men, and even a donkey, collecting stickers and code words from each of the eight character groups to solve a festive puzzle.
The event wraps up at 1pm, with families returning to the Parish Church, where refreshments will be served from 11.30am.
