Santa with the loaned Nissan car
Santa is back in Barnstaple this year, bringing festive cheer to the local community with his much-loved sleigh tour.
The Barnstaple Round Table has announced that the Santa Sleigh will be making its return from Saturday, 30 November, to Friday, 20 December, spreading holiday joy across the town and raising funds for local charities.
Rob Miles, Chairman of Barnstaple Round Table, said: “We are pleased to be back again this year with the Santa Sleigh as it brings so much joy to everyone across the area over the festive season. This year we have refurbished Santa’s sleigh, adding a few refinements and giving it a fresh coat of paint.”
Last year, the Santa Sleigh raised over £13,000 for local charities and interest groups, and the Round Table is hoping to surpass that amount this year.
The sleigh will follow the schedule below, with various routes across Barnstaple and the surrounding areas.

Santa Sleigh Schedule:
Rob Miles added: “It would be very difficult to put the Santa Sleigh on for so many nights without the help and support from charities and groups including Children’s Hospice South West, South West Care for Kids, North Devon Hospice, Chemo Hero, North Devon Hockey Club, and Barnstaple Rugby Club to name a few. I would also like to thank local businesses for their help and support, including the team at Barnstaple Nissan for the loan of their vehicle for the whole of the sleigh season, Taw Ford for sponsoring Santa’s Sleigh juice, The Voice for promoting the Santa Sleigh on the radio across Barnstaple and North Devon, Simon Randall and Bruce Isaac from the Storage Space for the storage of the Santa Sleigh, and finally, all the bucket collectors and members of Barnstaple Round Table who venture out in all weather conditions through the sleigh season.”
With less than two weeks until the first Santa Sleigh outing, Barnstaple Round Table urges the community to come out, show their support, and help raise even more funds than last year.
