Farmers from across North Devon gathered at Kivells Livestock Market in Holsworthy on November 19, uniting in protest against the government's proposed changes to inheritance tax on agricultural land.
The protest was organised for those unable to attend the larger rally in London, which has seen around 40,000 people march on Westminster.

The Gazette understands that the turnout in Holsworthy was much larger than expected, leading organisers to move the event from the Market Café into the auction ring to accommodate the crowd.
According to sources, more than 300 farmers participated in the local rally.
Farmers are protesting against changes from the Budget, which will see inherited agricultural assets worth more than £1 million become subject to a 20 per cent inheritance tax from April 2026.
Previously, agricultural assets over this value were exempt from inheritance tax, but the proposed change is set to heavily impact family-run farms across the country.
Mental health and wellbeing were major talking points at the event, with many speakers voicing concerns about the impact of the new tax laws on farming families.
The protest in Holsworthy mirrors growing unrest among farmers nationwide, who are warning that these changes could force them to sell land or even their farms to pay the inheritance tax.
The event organisers expressed gratitude for the strong turnout, with one noting the importance of showing solidarity within the farming community.
