South Molton fundraisers are set to host a special coffee morning, joined by the choir from South Molton United C of E Primary School, to raise funds for international charity Christian Aid.
The event will take place on Thursday, 7 November, from 9.45am to 12 noon at the Assembly Rooms in South Molton.
Organiser Lynne Miller shared her enthusiasm for the event, saying: “We’re really looking forward to the Coffee Morning with the choir to help support Christian Aid.
“There’ll be stalls, a bring and buy sale and a raffle too, as well as the bonus of
live music from the children of South Molton United C of E Primary School. You’d
be so welcome to come and join us!”
Christian Aid is an international development agency that works with communities around the world to tackle poverty and promote sustainable development.
In 2023 alone, the charity reached 3.3 million people through initiatives that include savings and loans groups, climate resilience training, and healthcare access.
One success story highlights Nyarai, a mother from Zimbabwe, who, with the support of Christian Aid partner Bio-Innovation Zimbabwe, learned climate-smart farming techniques to secure her family’s future and harvest wild plants sustainably from nearby forests.
For those interested in supporting the charity’s work or attending the coffee morning, more information is available at www.christianaid.org.uk
