All lanes now open between Taunton and Bridgwater, with 6 miles of congestion still causing significant travel disruption

National Highways has confirmed that all lanes on the M5 northbound between Junction 25 (Taunton) and Junction 24 (Bridgwater) have now reopened following an earlier collision.

Although the road is clear, motorists should be aware that there remains approximately six miles of congestion on the approach, resulting in residual delays of around 50 minutes above the usual journey times.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution while navigating through the affected area and to allow extra time for their journeys.
