Plastic Free North Devon have announced a series of community events this October, inviting everyone to join in and make a positive impact on the environment.
From repair cafes to beach cleans, there are plenty of opportunities to engage and contribute.
Landkey Repair Café2 October, 10am-1pm Willows Tearoom, Landkey - Free textile repairs. Donations welcome but not expected. Email info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org for queries.
Braunton Repair Café12 October, 10am-1pm Museum of British Surfing, Braunton - Free service for repairs. Donations welcome but not expected. Email info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org for queries.
Barnstaple Repair Café19 October, 10am-1pm Barnstaple Pannier Market - Repairs for textiles, soft toys, small electronics, and IT. Free service with donations welcome. Email info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org for questions.
Lower Park Road Community Clean26 October, 10.30am-11.30am Meet at Ithaca, Lower Park Road, Braunton, EX33 2LQ. Join Lisa for a community clean. Email info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org for details.
Halloween Special Beach Clean at Instow26 October, 11am-1pm Meet at the Glorious Oyster - Free parking and refreshments for registered volunteers. Cleaning equipment provided, but feel free to bring your own.
Woolacombe Beach Clean with Silent Disco27 October, 10.30am-12pm Meet at Mill Rock - Join the Plastic Free Woolacombe team and the National Trust for a beach clean with a silent disco. Equipment provided. For further questions, contact Plastic Free Woolacombe via Instagram or call 07980 625475
