Calvert Exmoor, an activity centre for individuals with disabilities, is urgently calling for help from high-profile media to raise awareness about its financial crisis.
With just ten days left to raise £500,000, the centre has issued a plea for supporters to reach out to major TV shows and media figures to amplify their campaign.
In a statement on August 16, the centre stressed: “We're now at a crucial stage of our campaign and need to amplify our reach to secure larger donations. To make this happen, we’re asking for your help in reaching out to key figures in the media and business world.”
The message urged supporters to contact presenters, producers, and staff at shows like Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, The Last Leg, Loose Women, and Jeremy Vine.
“Sharing our campaign with them and asking them to spread awareness of our situation with their audiences could make a huge difference,” the post continued.
So far, Calvert Exmoor has raised more than £86,000 - only 17 per cent of their £500,000 goal.
The Gazette reported last week that without reaching this target by August 31, the centre will be forced to close its doors permanently, ending nearly 30 years of providing life-changing outdoor adventures for individuals with disabilities.
