The Combes Golf Park is set to host an exciting grand opening event on Saturday, August 24, marking a significant milestone for the newly established venue.
After a successful initial few months, The Combes Golf Park will officially open its doors with a day full of entertainment, community engagement, and charitable activities.
The local Mayor will perform the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, signifying the formal launch of the park.
To celebrate the grand opening, The Combes Golf Park will offer a 50 per cent discount on all activities throughout the day, allowing visitors to experience the park's amenities at half price.
To ensure everyone can join in the fun, free shuttle buses will be provided, linking Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, and Braunton with the park.
The celebration will also feature live performances from DJs starting from 1pm all the way to 1am, creating a lively atmosphere and enhancing the festive mood.
In addition to the entertainment, attendees will have the chance to participate in a charity auction.
This auction is particularly meaningful for Wayne McKnight, owner of The Combes Golf Park. The McKnight family has personally benefitted from the Devon Air Ambulance's life-saving services, and the event will serve as both a celebration and a fundraiser to express gratitude for the critical role the service played in saving his son’s life.
The auction will offer a range of exciting items, with all proceeds going to support the Devon Air Ambulance.
Additionally, golf enthusiasts can test their skills in the Toptracer competition, with Callaway prizes up for grabs.
The day’s festivities will also include delicious food from La Tavola, ensuring that guests have a range of culinary delights to enjoy as they celebrate.
Wayne McKnight shared his enthusiasm for the grand opening: “We’re excited to welcome everyone to join in the celebration, support a great cause, and experience all that our park has to offer.”
