The Plough Arts Centre is experiencing a period of transition, marking both farewells and new beginnings as it navigates the challenges of recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
After 24 years of dedicated service, Richard Wolfenden-Brown bids farewell to The Plough. His departure marks the end of an era.
The centre said: “All the staff and trustees wish him well as he leaves an unrivalled legacy. He will be a difficult act to follow.”
The staff and trustees extend their heartfelt gratitude and best wishes as he leaves behind an unrivaled legacy that will be hard to match.
In addition, Richard Crossman, who has served as the Administration Manager, is stepping away from his role to return to teaching.
The Plough's team and board wish him every success as he embarks on this new chapter at the start of the new school year in September.
Amidst these farewells, The Plough is also welcoming a new wave of talent.
Tessa James joins as the new Box Office staff member, bringing a fresh and enthusiastic presence to the team.
Grace Rodgers steps in as the Visual Arts Programmer and Gallery Curator, promising to bring new energy and vision to the Centre’s art offerings.
Leanne Freeman and Laurence Ogilvy will soon open the new Plough Cafe-Bar-Bistro at the end of August, enhancing the centre's facilities and offering a new space for patrons to enjoy.
Lastly, Emma Marston takes on the role of Chief Executive, succeeding Richard Wolfenden-Brown.
Emma is set to lead The Plough into an exciting new era with fresh ideas and dynamic leadership.
The staff and trustees of The Plough Arts Centre are eager for the community to join them in celebrating both their departing colleagues and their new team members.
