Instow Village Hall will host a special art show on 10 and 11 August, with all proceeds going to the North Devon Hospice.

The event is being organised by local curators Lee Holman and Wendy Harrison.

Lee and Wendy, both artists based in Instow, previously curated a highly successful art show for the RNLI in 2023, raising significant funds for the Appledore RNLI Lifeboat Station.

Their new venture aims to support the North Devon Hospice, a cause close to Mr Holman’s heart.

Wendy said: “We felt a Summer Art Show for another local charity would be a great way to fundraise and promote local artists in the peak holiday season. The North Devon Hospice is such an important local charity which is completely reliant on fundraising and donations. They were integral in the care for my father five years ago, providing home visits and support in a very challenging time.”

The show will feature the work of over 30 artists, with pieces priced at £500 or less.

It will take place at Instow Village Hall, a location that Lee and Wendy are helping to revitalise.

Situated just up from the seafront on Quay Lane, the hall is being transformed into a community space that supports various charitable events.

The art show will be open from 10am to 5pm on both days.

Visitors can enjoy a café offering cakes and lunches, and participate in a raffle to win outstanding pieces of art.

A preview event will be held on 9 August, with bookings available online.
