A TikTok video for the stunning Watermouth Valley Camping Park has taken the internet by storm after notching up more than two million views.

The slideshow video was shared by camping, touring and glamping platform campsites.co.uk on its TikTok account and the response has been amazing.

The short video of still images depicts the family-run campsite’s stunning sea views, brilliant sunsets and a sneak overview of the secluded Broadsands Beach, as well as some of the site facilities such as a food hut and children’s play area.

It has since gained 2.2 million views, 72,000 likes, 34,000 saves and more than 870 comments, with a huge reaction from Tiktok’s younger users aged between 18 and 34.

Watermouth Valley is set between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. It is run by the Wassall family after June and Dave Wassall visited 30 years ago and liked the site so much they decided to buy it.

The couple are still involved in the business but today their children Nick and Lisa as well as Nick’s niece Ellie also do a lot of the day to day running of the business.

In a statement, the family said: “We are thrilled the video had so many views on TikTok - businesses in the area and along the North Devon Coastline can only benefit from the next generation of holidaymakers choosing to holiday in the area.”

“I may not be able to go to Spain but what about this?”

“I can really recommend this campsite, I went there on family holidays when I was younger; the people that own it are wonderful too.”

“We stayed here years ago, it was stunning and lots to see and do in the area.”

“Travelled here last weekend for three nights and it was incredible! Amazing views from the pitch, food was amazing, short drive to Ilfracombe town and everyone’s really nice.”
