Four stages and more than 60 local musicians will keep the party going throughout this weekend as Bideford Music Days return.

On Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, Victoria Park in Bideford will be jumping, swaying and generally tapping its collective feet as the popular event organised by the RainBo Music Trust puts on a show to remember from 11am until late.

Music fans can enjoy a wide range of genres from some well-known local musicians and some new faces too, in addition to performances by the participants of the music workshops that are running throughout.

The event will be based on the football pitch, with the Main and Acoustic Stages directly in front of the children’s centre. The Pally Stage is on the rugby pitch behind the Bowling Club. The Space Showcase Stage will be located in the main event area.

The fairground will be hosting its own separate event in the area of the park by Cafe du Parc during the weekend.

The festival entrance has changed slightly and will now be the area between the two children’s play areas.

It all kicks off on the Saturday with the RainBo Fun Run, a colourful run, walk or crawl around the park, which is intended to raise funds towards the cost of the event.

Tickets are available for the colour run via www.rainbomusictrust.co.uk and are £5 for a child and £10 for an adult.

Entry to the festival itself is by donation, with a suggested donation of £5 per adult and £2 per child – all donations go towards the cost of hosting Bideford Music Day.

The total cost this year is £7.500, with £2,000 of that donated to the trust as a grant by Bideford Town Council and organisers have thanked the council for its continued support.
