In 15 minutes’ time, polling stations across the parliamentary constituencies of North Devon and Torridge & Tavistock will open their doors so voters can have their say in the 2024 general election.

Conservatives Selaine Saxby and Sir Geoffrey Cox are both seeking re-election in their respective constituencies amidst a backdrop of campaigning and community engagement.

In North Devon, Selaine Saxby faces competition from several candidates vying for the seat.

They are Nicky Edwards of the Labour Party, Ian Roome representing the Liberal Democrats, Nigel James from Reform UK, Cas Lay of the Green Party and Steve Cotten running as an Independent candidate.

Meanwhile, in Torridge & Tavistock, Sir Geoffrey Cox's challengers are Phil Hutty of the Liberal Democrats, Andrew Jackson from Reform UK, Judy Maciejowska of the Green Party, Alan Edward Rayner running as an Independent candidate and Isabel Angela Saxby representing the Labour Party.

Polling will open at 7am and the polling stations will remain open until 10pm tonight, with results expected in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The Gazette will be posting updates throughout the day.
